Prospective Owners Agreement Document

PROSPECTIVE OWNERS GROUP AGREEMENTS

1. Participants who consensed on forming the Prospective Owners Group (POG) on May 13, 2006 in Ian Winters workshop are recognized as the initial members of the POG. Other intentional community members will be able to join the POG, by consensus of the POG and by fulfilling and agreeing to continue to fulfill all of the requirements of this document.

2. The Prospective Owners Group is self-governing. Change of membership status of Prospective Owners will be determined by the POG; this includes determining member compliance with each of the following requirements.

3. Once presented, a signed month-to-month rental agreement is a requirement for continued residency in CRSP-owned buildings and for becoming a Prospective Owner.

4. Once presented, a signed month-to-month rental agreement addendum is a requirement for continued residency in CRSP-owned buildings and for becoming a Prospective Owner.

5. Abiding by the provisions of the month-to-month Rental Agreement and the Rental Agreement Addendum is a condition for continued residency and for being a Prospective Owner.

6. Establishing and maintaining a history of timely rent payments is a condition for continued residency and for being a Prospective Owner.

7. Prospective Owners agree to abide by the community’s Conflict Prevention and Resolution Policy and to meet the minimum participation requirements of at least 2 out of 3 of the following each month: 1) attending one potluck, supah suppah or other special community event, 2) attending one Building Community meeting, POG meeting or a regularly scheduled committee meeting (like CRSG) 3) contributing 4 hours of volunteer work at a work party or other approved community activity.

8. The POG is committed to environmentally sensitive building and land stewardship.

9. Prospective Owners practice ecological and cooperative living patterns based on the LAEV-IC’s core values:

10. Members of the Prospective Owners Group will pay a non-refundable sum of $300.00 to secure their option to be a co-op owner member, which will be used toward their share purchase in the co-op.


As a condition of being a Prospective Owner I agree to recognize and abide by all of the above agreements. I have fulfilled requirements 3. 4. and 10.
