This is a wiki about one particular community, The Los Angeles Eco-Village community. But as communities go, their limits are rather porous. They could span a closely knit group of people or a whole neighborhood block.
This wiki sets out to document the larger group of connections (including online ones)and at the same time the smallest details that make the more local community possible. Details such as transparency, steps to decision making and participation. And also the details in the making of every day sustainable living patterns.
As of late the Los Angeles Eco-Village intentional community is moving towards ownership of its land and buildings and increased self governance through the development of The Beverly Vermont Community Land Trust and a [[Limited_Equity_Housing_Co-op?]]. These inspire the creation of an online space based on principles of community and self-governance. And so a Wiki appears as the most propitious format.
