- Hi. I just moved here from the SF bay area. I’m trying to find out where to drop off compost (food scraps) because my building doesn’t compost. I’ve tried googling and calling all the food co-ops. But no one seems to have any information for me. If anyone knows where I could drop off food scraps for composting, I’d really appreciate it. Email: embsys@yahoo or text: 510.229.6117 Thanks! :Tamara:
- Hey all! Ben from the Bicycle Kitchen - I am interested in being informed on the Food Lobby. If you could please alert me to the next meeting, and on how I can get involved (purchasing and working a shift) that would be great! Thanks. ben@triplechickenfoot.com
- Howdy. Thanks for all the work. Can we add a “name that veggie” page that has pictures of the veggies and their names, where people can post sites that have recipes? I would gladly contribute some time to take pictures of the veggies and post them. I don’t know how to add a page, otherwise I’d do it myself. Thanks, Thiago 2007-4-8 7:04 PM PST
- I’ll show you how to add a page.

“Ok, maybe it is actually 2/12/07, it being past midnight. I’m not babbling, I’m writing examples in the hopes that other people will use this space :-)” -Dave
“I love the wiki! Lets use it for everything” -Dave, 2/11/07, way too late at night.
“Yes, I love the wiki too!(althought i feel weird accepting it, afraid of the founders syndrome) I have a couple of things to say:
- i love the back to main page you have included on the Food Coop pages (and other pages), very thoughtful.
- i was thinking that the extra title on every page is unnecesary, but i changed my mind. i think Redundancy is ok. i think redundancy is good. redundancy.
- i also think you all are managing this enterprise quite well, with the open meetings, the transparent information and involving other people. it’s great. thank you!
- Another way of leaving your name in the comments is using the button that you see when
you are editing a page. the second one from left to right. if you hover over it you’ll see the message “Your signature with timestamp”. if you press it i’ll make the following characters: – ~ ~ ~ ~. when you save the page they will be replaced by the name you left in the Username box and the date and time you made the comment. Just like the one you can se below. note UTC stans for coordinated universal time
