1. Bulk buying
- the issue: Azure Standard is unpredictable with drop-off times/days
- hypothetically, we can get a delivery just for us, if we have orders over $400 (we do) and are within 3 miles of route (not sure if we are)
- Thiago is dealing with Jim Paladin, the driver, to see if we can get a drop-off here
- could get drop-off in the back of the Von’s parking lot, another possibility is Bresee parking lot, or LACC?
- Thiago will continue exploring these possibilities with Azure Standard
- another option: find out about who Nature Mart deals with – Lara will investigate
2. Workshifts
- adding meeting convener to list of open workshifts
- Randy suggests that coordinators need to contact him in advance to get the money
- coordinators should contact people in their cell to remind them?
- Lara offers to be around on Sunday to hand off the money to the coordinator
- Randy will try to send email to farmer, Lara and that weeks coordinator simultaneously
3. Adding to variety
- could we go back to alternating Finley
- another preference email?
- ask for additional ideas for farmers to contact
- specifically, people want: garlic, onions, fruit
- could get onions and garlic from Finley at the farmer’s market and apples from Ha farms
- Thiago will send an email to the listserv with the proposal for onions, garlic and apples, see if people want this every week or every other week
