DATA MANIPULATION COMMITTEE - March 19, 2008

The following four met to discuss current data/accounting/money collecting issues at the coop.
CURRENT SYSTEM
cash under door
input into computer excel
each week gets an envelope
on the envelope has list of names and amounts (plus “owes” if haven’t paid)
e-mail edgar (could email lara and cell coordinator too)
friday morning - tell lara how much money there is to make a follow up call to the farmer (back for the ordering to make sure the farmer knows and shows up)
somehow get the money to the cell coordinator - currently give it to lara on sundays (better to give to her on thursday)
Additional things that Randy winds up doing:
people contact randy when a box is missing
when people don’t put enough info on envelopes, need to problem solve
people need to know that new members need to go through ann

everyone needs to put name contact info with cash
list of names don’t fit on envelope
do we want to be more strict on absolutely paying before
membership number
put form (stamp?) on envelope requiring info

phone,
e-mail,
membership #,

do some research on what folks have spent out of their pockets for the coop
make stamp with needed information
figure out where excess funds have gone (~$400)
