-We don’t need to have to include renter members “…do not have the right to block consensus on an expulsion decision.” This is already implied because they are not part of the decision making group (Board)

3/8/10 4.70 – Leave of Absence
Comment: the reason to have this language is to clarify that if members are on a leave of absence they are not legally counting towards quorum. The specifics of how to grant a leave should be in our guidelines/policies, not the bylaws.
We consensed on everything in 4.70 except the last sentence that needs more clarification.

3.05 Lois would like to change expectation to value. She would also like to insert “and responsibility” and “, and that a healthy deomcratic body depends on the members of that body keeping themselves well informed on the issues.
