Angel has been a resident at the ecovillage since 2001. Guatemalan born, he came to the states in 1982. He led quite a nomadic life up until his mid 20s, moving from place to place within LA county, finally settling at the LAEV. He runs a coffee roasting company, The Coffee Cellar, that specializes in coffee certified organic, shade grown and fair trade. You can enjoy his coffee at Mama’s Hot Tamales Cafe, Tribal Cafe, Erewhon and the Silverlake Farmers’ Market. You can also buy the coffee beans to take home.
