3. Sam and Anna next steps.
-Overview of events so far.
-There is some level of miscommunication people are feeling. Misimpressions and clarification needed.
Two different issues: how to communicate with them and how does the community handle these issues (how do we deal with saying no at any point).
-its important to have a discussion from them AND with the community (we would like to hear some feedback and use that on our discussion on how we improve our process).
-Communication has been inconsistent.
-No decision has been made (that is really important to communicate - we could have agreements with the community about that).
-There are not issues about them as persons, it’s about them as community members.
-The goal is not to change them.
-It’s about people’s impressions, and intuitions (which are part of the consensus process -as Tree remarked)
Next steps:
- Yuki is meeting with anna.
- Bienvenidos committee will develop a proposal for the community on how to proceed
- Talk about the issue of saying NO (recommended as an item for the retreat)- it doesn’t have to do with Sam and Anna.
4. How to finalize questionnaire:
- Bring the issue of smoking and the label “smoker” to the community meeting.
- Seek finalization of the current questionnare before adding questions.
Add this Diet question suggestion:
- “Tell us about your food consumption habits and how do they relate to your ecological and community values?”
- federico will compile latest reworded questions and send it to the list. we will bring and discuss at tomorrow night’s community meeting (income, inner city, food, with the question about smoking last with more time for discussion)
